On the Ghost Centre of Lie Superalgebras

چکیده
We define a notion of ghost centre of a Lie superalgebra g = g0 ⊕ g1 which is a sum of invariants with respect to the usual adjoint action (centre) and invariants with respect to a twisted adjoint action (“anticentre”). We calculate the anticentre in the case when the top external degree of g1 is a trivial g0-module. We describe the Harish-Chandra projection of the ghost centre for basic classical Lie superalgebras and show that for these cases the ghost centre coincides with the centralizer of the even part of the enveloping algebra. The ghost centre of a Lie superalgebra plays a role of the usual centre of a Lie algebra in some problems of representation theory. For instance, for g = osp(1, 2l) the annihilator of a Verma module is generated by the intersection with the ghost centre.

On generalized reduced representations of restricted Lie superalgebras in prime characteristic
Let $mathbb{F}$ be an algebraically closed field of prime characteristic $p>2$ and $(g, [p])$ a finite-dimensional restricted Lie superalgebra over $mathbb{F}$. It is showed that anyfinite-dimensional indecomposable $g$-module is a module for a finite-dimensional quotient of the universal enveloping superalgebra of $g$. These quotient superalgebras are called the generalized reduced enveloping ...

متن کاملUniversal Central Extension of Current Superalgebras
Representation as well as central extension are two of the most important concepts in the theory of Lie (super)algebras. Apart from the interest of mathematicians, the attention of physicist are also drawn to these two subjects because of the significant amount of their applications in Physics. In fact for physicists, the study of projective representations of Lie (super)algebras are very impo...

We prove Conway and Norton’s moonshine conjectures for the infinite dimensional representation of the monster simple group constructed by Frenkel, Lepowsky and Meurman. To do this we use the no-ghost theorem from string theory to construc...
متن کاملBRST structure of non-linear superalgebras
In this paper we analyse the structure of the BRST charge of nonlinear superalgebras. We consider quadratic non-linear superalgebras where a commutator (in terms of (super) Poisson brackets) of the generators is a quadratic polynomial of the generators. We find the explicit form of the BRST charge up to cubic order in Faddeev-Popov ghost fields for arbitrary quadratic nonlinear superalgebras. W...
